Pastor’s Note

Forever I will sing the goodness of the Lord

What do I truly value in life?

Relationships,

Possessions,

Friendships,

Status,

Security

An example for us from the Book of the Kings is of the Shunemite womxn building an extra room on the roof of her house, for the itinerant holy man Elisha. She was rewarded with a gift beyond all expectation, a ‘son’. What we might call today ‘Small Gestures’ that truly express God’s ‘Great Love.’

So, what in life do we truly value? And what some of the things we allow to get in the way of what is truly valuable?  So, make room for what you value.

English art critic and Social thinker John Ruskin once remarked that the highest reward for a person’s toil was not what they got for it, but what they became by it!

Surely, we should consider this statement very apt indeed when applied to our toiling in the vineyard of the Lord!

Forever I will sing the goodness of the Lord
